Solace was founded in 2007, but the company didn’t release its first wireless power prototype until 2012. It all started, when its founder Craig Betts, being frustrated by carrying through airports bunches of power cables in small carry-on luggage, decided there must be a better, more convenient way, to power electronic devices. Solace then became a start-up company and has spent the past years researching and improving wireless transfer technology to offer freedom of movement.
Solace filed its first U.S. patent application in September of 2011. Today Solace power has more than 45 patents in areas such as magnets and transformers innovations, amplifiers, climate change mitigation, and even in airplanes technology.
They have also protection and licenses of their technology across the globe. Markets like China, Japan, India, Europe, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand are all part of their market reach and in all of them, They keep a great competitive advantage.
The company’s success is thanks to its global patent filing and prosecution strategy that served its company at each stage of its development. Their IP protection is their competitive advantage signature and they are doing their best to keep their protection in the future.
